Preparation of Accounts and Management Accounts

Preparation of accounts

You want your accounts prepared and sent to the Bank, Inland Revenue, Companies House etc so that you can forget them and concentrate on today’s issues.

We will send your draft accounts to you within 30 working days, provided you have supplied us with the information we require in the timeframe we agree.

Your accounts will be explained to you in plain English so that you understand them but, more importantly, we will highlight issues that could become real problems if not properly addressed.

What our client say about us!

Gary Thomas, managing director, PanTec Engineering Ltd

When Gary Thomas was nearing the final stages of a management buyout of the engineering company he worked for, he decided to appoint an accountant who had no previous involvement with the firm and could offer a completely fresh approach.

Following a recommendation from the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), he decided to appoint Mark Hunter to handle the management buyout at Bridgwater-based PanTec Engineering in June 2010 and was so impressed that he kept him on as the company’s accountant.

The firm, which employs around 12 people, receives full accountancy services from Hunter Accountants, including bookkeeping and payroll.

Gary has nothing but praise for Mark, saying: “I would certainly recommend him, especially to businesses involved in management buyouts because of his experience, and the advice he gave us was excellent.

“He understands our business well and keeps us informed at all times, including providing graphs showing various aspects of the business, such as cashflow, overheads and net profit margin, which help us to make important decisions.

“Overall, we receive a very good, professional service.”

Ben Flight, managing director, The Real Olive Company

case-studies-olive Getting the most from your accountant is all about having the right relationship with someone who understands what you want to achieve with your business.

This is exactly what Ben Flight, managing director of Bristol-based The Real Olive Company, found with Mark Hunter.

Mark was originally assigned as a business adviser on a voluntary basis when Ben set up The Real Olive Company through the Prince’s Trust. However, Ben found Mark’s help and guidance to be so invaluable that he decided to keep him on as his accountant.

Today, the business consists of three companies – the retail and wholesale branches of The Real Olive Company, and The Olive Shed Ltd restaurant business.

Ben is in no doubt whatsoever that Mark’s help has been essential to helping his business thrive since its inception in 1998.

He says: “His support has been vital to the success of the business. You have to have a good relationship with your accountant and we certainly wouldn’t consider changing to anyone else. It’s all about the relationship.

“Mark has got a very professional approach to business, but he is also like a confidant – he understands more than just the numbers of the page. He is a good all-rounder.”
